2 Bernese Mt dogs $50 for 1 $75 for both

They will be made breeders if no one gives them a real home. 2 brothers, unneutered 11 months old.

Anyone know of a resuce near Albany? I;m sure she would give them to rescue if she could?

I'm going afk for a few hours so I cannot do anything right now.

I would be willing to pick them up if a train needs to be started. I'm an hour outside Albany.

We have two very beautiful, very beloved Bernese Mountain Dogs in need of a new home.

We recently found out we are pregnant, are trying to renovate a new home, and desperately tried to make this all work with our dogs but this is just not the best living situation for any of us anymore.

Both dogs are boys, from the same litter, and are 11 months old (will be one year on May 31st). They are obviously house trained, have no health issues whatsoever, and are very well behaved.

They LOVE being outside and will probably do best in a home with a large yard. They are awesome with all types of people, dogs, and other animals. They are not fixed because we were planning on breeding them due to their fantastic blood lines (just look at the pictures!).

If you have any questions, just ask. But, move on them quick, because they will be going to professional breeders if we can't find them a home very soon. We would rather see them go to a home first, though, which is why we're taking this route. Really, the most amazing, beautiful dogs I have ever seen.

I emailed her and she told me the rehoming fees and here is her real email if her ad gets flagged.

If they have 'fantastic bloodlines' wouldn't the breeder want to be informed that they are being rehomed?

The photos are of 3 different dogs. Did she just include random photos?

Good thing I read all this first....I was all in shock and ready to go get them! Although really, what she said doesn't really make sense.....And yes, usually a good breeder would want their dogs back if the person can longer keep them. Is this the "breeder" she is speaking of? And selling them for $50? My mind just gets fogged when I see Berner's for sale.

I'm about 20 minutes from Albany. I saw them listed yesterday. This kills me but I cant take in two dogs right now. I'll send out an email and see if there is anything I can do to help or see if they will hold the dogs while I make arrangements, if this isnt a scam.

I'd assume that this is a scam, but there's nothing wrong with checking things out. Nice of you to help if you can.

She has a new post today claiming it is NOT a scam.

I have been emailing prospecitve new owners of our two Berner boys nearly non-stop for the past 24 hours. Imagine my surprise when this afternoon, in the midst of my over flowing inbox, I found that my post had been flagged and removed from Craigslist. Stunned, I came on to Craigslist to find out why and I found this posting: re: Two Bernese Mountain Dogs (Albany, NY) (some sort of scam). You can go ahead and read the post on your own because I will not give them celebrity by copying it here and I will not stoop to his/her level by flagging his/her post, which would possibly cause its removal. I will however share with all of you the email I sent to this coward of a poster:
You have a lot of nerve...
I wonder if you're one of the people that have contacted me about our boys and if so, how dare you waste my time if you were just going to turn around and post what you did. Although you don't deserve any explanation from me whatsoever, I am appealing to any type of humanity you have in you right now. Our address is 62 Dana Avenue in Albany, NY. Be careful driving through, it is the ghetto, but you will be able to see and hear our dogs in the tiny alleyway next to the house which is the only place the dogs have to go to be outside. Which is the reason they NEED to find a new home. Go ahead, drive by and see how real they are. And as for the pictures, it's NOT three different dogs, it's just the two of them, and when you come by you can see the one with more white on his head is T.S. and he is quite a big larger than Dutch, the one with less white on his head (but there all the same), and quite a bit smaller than T.S. They are friendly and will surely lick your hand through the fence and if you have the balls to actually knock on my door, I will answer and you will be able to see my fat, growing belly with our unplanned baby inside. What kind of world do we live in in which a skeptic like you can post whatever they want about people they don't even know and a situation they know even less about? Like, you don't know the financial decision that caused us to leave our wonderful home and have to live in this shit-hole for the next year until our house is finished being built on our new land. And you don't know what it's like for US to have to question whether we want dogs in our home with our child. A child, again, we did not plan on and did everything in our power to prevent. We never wanted kids which is why we got the boys, but now that we have been blessed with a child, we are excited and eager and desperately trying to do the right things. Life happens and there's nothing you can do to stop it, prevent it, or even plan for it. We're both teachers and we didn't plan for me to be laid off this past January because every school district across the country is losing funding from the government and even with a master's degree, I can not even get a secretary job (and believe me, I am trying). We are devastated about losing our boys and we cry every night when we pet them and cuddle with them but we are physically and financially unable to care and spoil them the way we want them to be cared for and spoiled. And it is unfair for us to say to them, "please just put up with this for another year and it will get better." Dogs don't understand that! And we can already see changes in them after living in this house for only a month. They need their space again. They deserve to have their space back. Again, why am I even explaining myself to you? I suppose it's in the hope that you will cross your fingers, hold your breath, and drive into this terrible neighborhood, see that the dogs exist, see that my family that is holding on by a thread does exist, see that I am actually pregnant, and then think twice before judging someone that is simply reaching out for help on Craigslist, desperately. I pray for you that you find the humanity in yourself. The same humanity and compassion that is causing us to seek out a new home for our boys, not despite how much we love them but because of how much we love them, knowing we can not give them the home they need and deserve right now, knowing a year is too long for them to have to wait.

It may be a good idea to ask for clarification about the things in the original ad that are troubling.

I emailed her back and asked her about the photos and told her that nobody is willing to help her if she is going to lie about the photos being her dogs.
