I have a 4month old english mastiff. He is a sweet and loving boy but with a new baby he is just too much to handle. I dont have the running space he needs either. You might want to refer them to a mastiff rescue. They, at least, can screen adopters.

Thanks, Lori. The poster of the ad is in MD, and while only a few minutes from here, out of the territory for the above rescue. I couldn't find one that covers MD or DC, so I sent them contact info for their local club. I'm guessing they'll help out or point them in the right direction.

Even though we're all in the DC metro area, organizations that go strictly by state sometimes group us to an area much further away.

Good lord did they not have a clue when the bought an English Mastiff and were having a baby that it might take....*gasp*...some work? Poor pup is only 4 months old so they've likely on had him a couple of months and already he's getting dumped. Some humans drive me nuts but hopefully he'll end up in a much better home with humans that possess a few more brain cells than the home he's currently in.
