Subject: R&R Urgently Needs Three Foster Homes
In these unfortunate economic times, many pet owners are facing giving up their beloved furry friends to keep them safe and fed. Today we received the bad news that one of our own adopters has lost her job and soon her home. The invitation to move into her motherís home does not include her cattle dogs. Two of the ACDs were adopted from our rescue, Piper and Stryker. The third Bindi was purchased from a breeder in Georgia. One of our commitments as a rescue is to always take our dogs back into our rescue. However, they are coming back to our rescue at a time when we currently have 24 fosters and no place to put them until some adoptions happen. These three dogs must be out of their home in Marion, NC, by June 15th. We are looking for either temporary or long-term foster homes for these dogs.
Stryker is a blue-eyed male approximately 2 years old. He was neutered when we rescued him in the fall of 2008. Heís a happy boy who gets along well with both male and female dogs. He has always done well around children.
Piper is a spayed red female approximately 5 years old. We rescued her at the beginning of 2008. She was our first red foster! Piper is friendly and gets along well with both male and female dogs.
Bindi is a blue female who is 6 years old. Bindi was put up on our adoption floor in January because she should be an only dog in a cat-free, children free home. She is very loving but only to her person. You can see her listing on our Petfinder:
If you can take one of these dogs as a temporary foster dog until one of our regular spaces opens up or foster one until itís adopted, please let me know as soon as possible. Their mother is heartbroken at being separated from her dogs and how swiftly she will be parted from them. Our rescue covers all vetting and preventatives for our foster dogs. When available, monthly sponsorship money to cover food expenses called Foster Angel money is provided. We handle the entire adoption process for each dog. Please let me know if you have any questions!
