Leonberger In Foster Needs Home...

A person on my newfie forum is fostering a leonberger. She said Rescue is having a hard time finding the perfect home for him.
I told her I would crosspost it here because I'm sure there are leo lovers here.
Here is the link..

I can't see the message without being a member of the board. Is there a main reason they having troubles finding a home for him? Does he have "issues"? Where are they located? I know some Leo people and have a lot of contacts on facebook that I can crosspost to if I can get some more info. (and a pic perhaps?) They are gorgeous dogs!!

This is all she wrote in the post...

We are still fostering sweet Koda. He is a three yr old male Leo.

The Leo rescue is having a hard time finding the perfect home for the big guy.

If anyone is interested or knows anyone that is looking to adopt PM me and i'll give you the Leo rescue info.

Not sure where she is located. Let me write her and find out some info.

He does have some issues... He is super sweet and loving. A total velcro dog, always wants to be near you, tries to climb in your lap, sleep with you, etc.

His faults.... He was left outside moslty with his previous owner so leaving him alone in the house hasn't been easy. He has destroyed two crates, cleary has some seperation anexity issues. He has also chomped a bunch of door knobs at our house trying to get out when we aren't home.

We have been working with him and he is doing much better now, but still has issues and I imagine going to a new home will stress him and some problems may return.

He is great with other dogs, he actually goes to daycare everyday now since being home alone is so hard on him.

He has had a couple of issues with kids, so a home with small children is probably not the best idea.

He does have slight hip problems, nothing crazy, just needs to be kept thin, supplements, etc.

Overall he is a great dog, I love him so much already and he is a very devoted loving dog.

He is super pretty!! With a little work, I bet he could be just wonderful! Or in a home where someone is home most of the time. I'll get crossposting and cross fingers!!
