My Swissy owning friend had a Bloodhound show up in her back yard this morning. Here's the info:

To my dog loving friends:

Anyone want a puppy Blood Hound?

He was in our back yard this morning with his dog run lead attached to him. Not surprised he broke loose – he is one strong dog! We figure he’s a puppy. We combed the neighborhood hoping to find someone looking for him. No such luck. We brought him to our vet to see if he has a chip and he does, unfortunately it’s not linked to anyone. Only linked to the company the owners purchased it from. That company is trying to find out who they sold it to. No luck yet.

So sad – someone definitely cares about this dog. (We named him “Blue”) He appears to be an outdoor only dog, as he isn’t fixed, potty trained or interested in treats. Marked his territory several times all over my house!

The Vet is going to keep him for three days and then he goes to the pound. I don’t now if I can let that happen – but I don’t want a blood hound!

Anyone have any ideas as to how we find the owners?

And then this:

Ohhh…but he really seems like a puppy. Vet guestimated he’s about 2.

Contacted local pound
Contacted Blood Hound Rescue
Posted Found notice on Craigslist
Hanging flyers at local convenient stores

So? Anyone know people around Saratoga? He must be loved by someone.... although, I'd run away if someone left me outside all day....

I hope he finds his way home, or at least a new one where he lives inside.

But Alas, they just found the owner's.. His name is Charlie. (I think the name Blue was better)

Glad you found you're owners Charlie!

This makes me happy and sad at the same time. Either his owners will realize they love him oodles after losing him and bring him inside to be a couch potato, or they'll buy a stronger chain and leave him outside again.

Yeah I'm on the fence on that as well. Stupid chips.
