Now come on guys, I'm sure they bought their "purebred bullmastiff" from a wonderful breeder who specializes in the extremely rare spotted mini Bullmastiffs. I'm sure they paid top dollar to John Doe (who bred the dogs in a kennel in the backyard and had mom and dad on site and 2 litters on the ground) and he said the papers would be in the mail. Then of course there was that unfortunate incident when the papers must have gotten lost in the mail. Darn. But that's ok because they know what kind of dog they have. Yup, and there is no way that they could be wrong...John Doe said it was purebred and they paid good money for it. If only people would stop looking at them like they have 3 eyes when they say their dog is a Bullmastiff. Don't people know about the extremely rare spotted mini Bullmastiff?

I guess I've heard every explanation people give for misidentifying their dog breeds by now.

lol I wrote on craigslist and let them know, so you aren't the only ones!
Here's the thing... If you study the one pic, it looks like they are in petsmart (theres a display rack behind them). Don't the Petsmart trainers wear the blue tops like that too?

I'd be really sad if a petsmart trainer let the dog get away with being mislabeled as a bullmastiff.

Darn, I thought I was spot on with my spotted mini Bullmastiffs.

No idea how part dane and part mastiff = bullmastiff. However, at only 40lbs and 8 months old I'm thinking they're very wrong.

lol Otis is 1/2 dane and 1/2 mastiff. Maybe I should just call him a bull mastiff?? Of course he looked more like one than that. I agree cathoula or mix of it.
