| Needing a forever home...
I believe this is the right spot for this, if not, mods, please feel free to move ![]() One of my neighbors is moving and can't take their Great Dane. She was going to put him on Craigs List (OMG) but offered him to me first. I am taking him on as a foster. He has been in shelters before, and is very timid, so I think my very rambuncious Loki is going to stress him out, but better me than Craigs List. His name is Coach, he's black, and 2-3 years old. Since he has been in shelters before, I would like for this to be his last relocation. I have never fostered a dog before, and would love any and all advice those with experience have to offer! He is very gentle, and once he warms up to you, he is loving and wants nothing more than to have his ears scratched. I am in Southwest Florida, Ft Myers/Naples area, and am willing to travel, within limits, in order to meet with prospective forever parents. I can be contacted at dane_addict@embarqmail.com Please feel free to crost-post this to other boards/forums, and lets hope for a forever home soon! Thank you!! |

He is getting along wonderfully well with my two boys, and has already chosen his spot on the couch... *sigh* If I keep telling myself he's a foster.... but I think if he's still here after a couple of weeks, I can see him being part of our family...

He has opened up sooooo much already! I was really concerned about his shyness, but he's been running around the yard with Merlyn and Loki for a couple hours, and is currently resting on my oldest daughters bed. I'm beginning to smell foster failure as well....

Well, he has been in my home for 6 hours, he gets along great with everyone, and he and my 17 year old daughter are attached at the hip. I cannot believe how quickly they bonded. She has sworn to be financially responsible for all of his needs, food, vets, everything. Is it still a foster failure if he lives in my home but belongs to her!!?!! |
