Also, i thought she said she didnt have the time to train him? How is her getting a "smaller" dog with the rehoming fee from this chap going to suddenly give her more time to train the new pup? Grrr!

Skiddish at my house means stains in the underwear. I wonder if that's the pups problem?

At least she recognizes that she can't handle this dog and is looking for a more suitable home. Much better than keeping it too much longer and creating a huge problem. Wish more people utilized rescue groups, rather than CL.

Is it really better if she clearly states that with the 'rehoming fee' she gets from THIS dog, that she has no time to train, she plans to buy another, smaller dog? One that perhaps she will have more time to train, magically?

No, that part is not better at all. Just reflecting on this dogs situation. Planning to buy another, who will also likely be untrained pisses me off.

I usually try and get rescue groups involved. Unfortunately, most in my area (WI & MN) are packed full and can't take in any more dogs.

Plus, people want their rehoming fee, and would rather get their $50 than see their dogs go to good homes.

Didn't you hear? Small dogs don't need training. They can use pee pads inside and jump on and bark at any person or dog that they want. At least...that's what a lot of people seem to think.

I applaud anyone with small dogs that actually trains them and treats them like dogs... unfortunately it no longer seems the norm with the general public.
