I purchased a puppy today to save her life. She was in a plastic bag, writhing on the kitchen table, at the home of one of my 7 year old son's friends I was supposed to be dropping him off to visit. Needless to say I won't be stepping foot inside that house again, nor will my child. She hadn't been in there long from what I can tell because she is fine now. There's nothing wrong with her, they just didn't want her and decided that was the way to get rid of her. I poked a breathing hole in the bag and asked if I could have her, and the boy's mom said for fifty bucks I could do whatever I want with her. I probably could have called the cops instead but I wasn't sure if the dog would be alive when they got there. So I paid the woman and brought her home with me, where she is warm and fed and safe from harm. Black and white in color, approximately 3 months old, maybe a little younger even. Pitt mixed with... boxer I think but I will ask the vet their opinion. Friendly with my children. If she has a name, I have no idea what it is. Looking for a family that knows what it means to take an animal's life into your hands--- the commitment, the financial responsibility of regular vet visits and the cost of feeding, how little fun it is to clean up after a pet, how much love you invest in a furry friend, that children cannot be expected to be responsible for 100% of the pet's care. It doesn't matter if she goes to a home with or without children as long as your intention is to provide her a lifelong home. That said, here's the deal... looking to rehome her no sooner than Monday evening. In the meantime she will be bathed, ears cleaned, toenails clipped, taken to the vet and gotten all of her initial shots and wormers and a general checkup, loved and hugged and cuddled, fed of course, and watched for issues. I am not sure at this point whether or not she is potty trained, that wasn't something I thought to ask about. I should know that soon, I suspect. When she goes, she will go with a bag of food, food and water dishes, a leash, a couple toys, and a promise from me that you can bring her back if she doesn't work out. Willing to save her again if necessary, no questions asked. Please send me an email if you might be interested. Give her a chance, she hasn't had much of one so far.
Please don't waste my time asking what the "fee" is. I won't put a price on her life, I just want to find her good people.
