Random Shelter Doggies

We are ooooooverflowing with dogs at the shelter. Here are a few boys that are super cute and have sad stories (well, don’t they all.)

What the heck is he? Opinions please! He looks Doberman-ish? And he’s got ticking… A dobe/heeler mix? This poor boy was brought in as a stray. I looked at him and realized I knew him. He “lives” about a block from my grandma’s house and for months every time we drive by I mutter a few obscenities to myself about that poor dog tied to a tree with a crappy plastic dog house with nothing in it. (Mind you we live in northern Wisconsin… he’d freeze in the winter) The other day he was bouncing around playing with a broken pail. Anyhooooo, so no, I’m not going to rush to the phone to contact his owners-term used loosely…. And I hope they don’t come looking for him. We drove past his house just to make sure it was in fact the dog I thought is was and walla… he’s missing and two poor pitbulls tied to one tree with the one plastic dog house and replaced him. Grrrrr I hate people.

And poor Riley. He’s a total L-O-V-E! And he’s so handsome! He’s supposed to be a Shepherd/Pittie mix but I think there’s maybe a dash of Lab in there too! He was surrendered because the owner’s insurance company discriminates against certain breeds! My cousin married this broad that has the certain company’s (can I say which) branch and she is doing a bang up job of telling people get rid of your dog or I’ll cancel your insurance. She adopted one of her dogs from the shelter and I kid you not the poor girl looks like a little pittie. But if you dare say that she owns a pittie she goes postal on you! Spewing her venom on “dangerous breeds”. Grrrrrrrrrr

He wasn't diggin' the flash! No more please he says!

Oh and here is Spud because I love the big old guy and his time is getting short.

Anybody wanna dog? please

the people probaly let the first one go when they got the pitties. They figured he would either find a home or disapear.

GOOD NEWS!!! Spud got adopted!!!!! WOO HOOOO!

My mother and I drove 400 miles today to transport 3 beagle puppies. Then came home pottied my dogs turned around went back to town to meet a lady who couldn't come till late but she adopted a little terrier mix boy!

Bad news is even with five dogs moved we are still full to the rim with new dogs coming in today. Most of the newbies are poor little pitties... One late tonight that got hit by a car. He's doing ok, has a few cuts.

I'm tired. LOL
