| SPCA raid close to my area so sad http://www.capemaycountyherald.com/a...ogs+found+dead It looks like to me that this woman was rescuing dogs and got in over her head I am not sure. She has a facebook page that I looked up. I feel so bad for these dogs. This is why they say you can't save them all! |

I agree Nikki, I am not sure myself but just based upon the comments and her facebook page(which must of been taken down can't find it now) looks like she rescues from some group Robeson, I am not familiar with. I just hope and pray the dogs find very loving homes. She wont release them so they have to sit in the shelter til she goes to court.

Robeson is the hell hole shelter of the South with rampant diseases and frequent parvo outbreaks. It has long been the target of multiple rescue groups because the conditions are so deplorable It is a wonder that any dog survives there and if she was getting her dogs from Robeson and only had 6 dogs die in more than a year she was doing something right. I watched the video and the dogs on the video were in good body condition and had good hair coats. Some of the pens were dirty, some were not The house was a mess inside- I did not see any emaciated dogs and it is unknown if the outside dogs came in at night - Not as bad as the journalism reports but yes she did have too many dogs

Here's what I saw: -Outdoor pens had shelter. IMO, still too cold to keep dogs, especially short-haired dogs, outside though. -The amount of feces was actually not that high considering that there are multiple dogs in each pen and they are probably being fed cheap food which causes them to each go multiple times throughout the day and night. -They were obviously being fed. I didn't notice dogs with bad body condition, and they all looked alert. -Inside the house was AWFUL! The floors looked urine-saturated, there were loose piles of feces everywhere, even on the sides of the furniture. The dogs were maybe better off outside. -The reporter said they found six puppies in a closet. Unacceptable. -The six dead dogs buried? Who knows. With the number she had, there is no telling that the six weren't genuine cases that couldn't be saved. I don't think it's fair to assume they died of neglect. So I'm mixed too. However, she was clearly in over her head.
