Talking Meet Buddy

Hello guys! It's been a while! I have started school and well everything around here has been crazy :s unfortunatly I have had to take a break of off fostering (for now, even though the urges of fostering make me twitch *sigh*) because of my loaded school work . In the meantime though I still have one last foster that I have not been able to place . He is such a great little dog that I don't understand why its been so hard :s. He is 24lbs, neutered, on heartworm prevention, up to date on shots, great with dogs, great with cats, and house broken. I simply don't understand why its been so hard to place him, I have put flyers at the vets office, I have different rescues that I have helped in the past post him, I have posted flyers at school, I've done almost everything and still no one shows interest in this great little guy :'(. If only we could keep him I would he loves my sister but he needs a home where he will be 24/7 with people and indoors and at my house that doesn't happen .

Here is Buddy, he is very shy with men will bark and growl at them but he will not bite, has has slowly taken a liking to both my brother and father. He was found running the streets of our neighboring town with his brother (his brother has been adopted):

Oh, he has the mose beautiful, soulful, eyes. I can't believe that he hasn't been snatched up!

BTW, congrats with starting school, I know it's a big time commitment. Glad you've found time to return to us!

He is so cute and a great size for a house dog, with his attitude and your training I can't understand why someone would not snap him up too. He looks a fun little guy.

Geeze what a great little dog! I can't believe he's not been snatched up quickly. Usually a dog that size is first to be adopted since even apartments with rules about breeds and sizes would allow him in easily at 24 lbs.

Have you tried Craigslist? I'm not big on CL since it's used incorrectly so much for people actually selling or dumping dogs but I think if used correctly, with good pictures, his story, why he became a foster, etc. along with his stats and the kind of home you are seeking for him - and you are very careful about matching him with a family - it can be a good way to get his story out there to a lot of people quickly. I know you mentioned he's a bit standoffish with men but how is he with kids, with food, with toys, manners (on lead and off lead)? Is he a runner or high energy or would he suit an older person looking for a nice small companion dog?

Heck if not CL, then I'd be hauling him out to dog parks, all over the community to events and let people know this great little foster needs a forever home.

Thank you for the comments!

I can't believe it either! I use to get calls from people looking for a dog his size but I have received none! Yes I have placed him on CL TONS of times and I still haven't gotten anyone show any interest for him. I wish we had a dog park we hardly have a human park xD lol. If I could take him out I would but I no longer go out anywhere, my days are from school to the house and to the house to school :/. In November friends are going to have a horse trail ride and I will take him there and see he finds a home with someone.
