| Re: Reo's learning
Here are a couple of things you need to know before I start this story. This is Reo's first summer and he is not yet neutered. It's been 100 - 112 degrees here with not a cloud in the sky. Reo bops outside the other afternoon and decides to sit on the sidewalk. His "boy bits" get to the pavement first. A look of puzzlement comes into his eyes. He hovers, his rear not quite touching the concrete. Then a look of consternation crosses his face; all is not well in his nether regions. It only took a few seconds but he decided that the sidewalk was no longer the place to park his tookus.

This happened to my uncles Basset one year, he went out to lay on the dark brown painted deck, and his man berries hit it first, he RAN inside arrooo-arrrooooo-arrrrooooing.

Ohhhh I'll mention this to my neutered male, Marrok. Maybe for once he'll realize not having those hanging bits back there is a good thing!

I never think about how hot pavement can be sometimes in reference to their paws.... or stomachs... or man berries. |
