I am putting the girls on a yeast elimation diet. They are systematically over run with yeast. Here is the diet we will be using, minus all, but #1 on the veggie side. My question is, is there any reason I shouldn't feed raw chicken backs after 3 weeks of the 6 week diet? Or a reason I shouldn't feed raw poultry?

For an elimination diet to be successful, it needs to be carried out over 6-8 weeks. I wouldn't alter it in any way. My question is this: why would you only use one from the veggie side? When I formulate cooked diets, there are always at least 2, from different categories, to cover all trace minerals and vitamins.

I think 1/3 of the mix is veggie, you can choose 2-4 of them, if I'm understanding the wording correctly.

The guy said in Amelia's extreme case it was better to avoid all, but the one category of veggie, for the first 3 weeks. They will be on it for a minimum of 6 weeks.

Right now all meat is cooked until they re-establish their gut flora & can properly digest raw.

So far just Amelia is on the diet & she is doing well. She has yet to show signs of the yeast exiting her body, ie yeasty toes, ear explosion &/or really goopy eyes. She already had red, raw & mildly goopy eyes and raw skin by her nose, these seem to be improving. We are only one solid week in and I have started including broccoli & cauliflower in the veggie mix.

Her 2x a day feedings are:
    1 lb ground meat
2 free range goose eggs or 3 free range chicken eggs
    1/2 cup kefir
    1/2 cup cottage cheese
    2 cups veggie mix
    probiotic mix

After feeling Amelia really well, we lowered her ground meat to 12 ounces & took out 1/2 cup of veggies, she put on some weight.

Amelia update: She looks like crap, we've experienced reddish tinged white fur, bottoms of paws are yucky, nose cracked in new places, gross ears, eyes are still raw, & body rash. She is getting better, but I feel she will need to stay on this diet for 12-20 weeks instead of 8. Her eyes are less raw & the part of her nose that was bad is getting better, as are the new lesions. The rash is now only on her neck area.
Here is what she's eating now:

Her 2x a day feedings are:
    1 lb ground meat
1 free range goose eggs or 2 free range chicken eggs
    1/4 - 1/3 cup kefir or yogurt
    1/3 cup cottage cheese
    1+ cup veggie mix
    garlic
    probiotic mix
    vitamin mix
    1500mg niacinamide

We are up to all, but the #2 section on the veggie side. I've tossed around eliminating the dairy from the diet, because of the natural sugar in them.
